Also to add insult to injury I don’t think there are any Robin Hood movies that show a realistic depiction of Nottinghamshire/Yorkshire
As a teenager I used to hang around Holmfirth and Honley a lot (my mates at sixth form were all from there). Reader, I have roamed them hills. Surprising lack of baths of wheels, before you ask.

When I worked in the archives at Wakefield there were three groups of people we used to dread, in this order: Jack the Ripper people Richard III people Robin Hood people Mainly cos a) most of the story happens pre-detailed local recordkeeping, b) it’s a story and c) actually this is just b again
