Walking in the rainforest the other day, the canopy overhead was immersed in a 'flocking': a pippering, squeaking multi-species band of blue, great, coal, and long-tailed tits, plus others like goldcrest. This behaviour evolved as a defence against predation, for eg by sparrowhawk. Just magical.

Why the f**k do we not classify the social media companies as “publishers”? They would then be subject to the existing law that makes a publisher responsible for what it publishes. It should not make any difference that what the social media companies publish is digital rather than ink on paper

One of the obvious problems with a under-16 social media ban is that it won't work. (60%+ of Australian under-16s are still using these platforms). But it will make people feel like something has been done so they won't tackle the content, which is the real issue.
