once referred to as "the anonymous batman of bullshit" I don't know anything and I'm always tired from Kansas🇺🇸, currently Tohoku🇯🇵 日本語は勉強しているけど下手だよ

Imagine if in the men's World Cup the Solomon Islands, an island chain in the South Pacific ranked 153rd in the World, were in a group with Poland, Ghana, and Vietnam. And they won the group. That's what Malawi just did, comparing like-for-like FIFA World Rankings between men and women.

I know we had food safety issues pre-Trump, but what's currently happening now with "tons of mass recalls in various kinds of foods and no one even knows which foods should be recalled because the government is both actively lying and fucking up" was one of my biggest fears when trump won

Shimada and Kano are pushing now because Japan's Supreme Court is weighing whether denying marriage to same-sex couples is unconstitutional. Shimada: "if small movements gather together, perhaps same-sex marriage will become a reality." buff.ly/fziynTM

If you were a notable neo-Nazi, and you are trying to do better, that is good; but if you do not understand that "I will no longer seek power over anyone other than myself" is an essential part of that redemption you are not redeemed at all. You're still a fucking Nazi.

~ when the plains midwest election results are good ~ Look! at what we are "ready for" in the middle of the middle Help! communities fight back against corporate capital See! how we are all in the same struggle nation, worldwide

I have little to add to the chat, but I will say this: Those of us who spend a lot of time talking about politics overestimate how much other people care about, or are even familiar with, the labels we use to describe, denigrate, or celebrate candidates. Sometimes we’re high on our own supply.

NEW: Voters have rejected Republicans' scheme to unseat the Kansas Supreme Court's Dem-appointed majority and overturn abortion rights. Amendment 1 would have let the GOP replace the system of a nominating commission, gubernatorial appointment, and retention elections with direct partisan elections

you just don't go after bodily autonomy in Kansas- interestingly, the GOP doesn't seem to control the narrative on these kinds of questions, at all. their ads were like "don't you want democracy? that means voting for judges" and people mostly saw right thru it

Holscher didn't run a full-on DSA campaign, but ran on a platform far more left wing than some pundits declare unpalatable in the flyover Corson, the center-left establishment candidate, took a big hit for being associated with private prisons if what they think of us were true, Skoog woulda won

Doggust day 3: Jagdterrier (and rock purslane.) I see this type of succulent a lot, always super tall and leaning in an illustrative manner. Almost ideal for a small dog to walk under. #doggust2026

A little black and brown terrier painted in sheen-y maroon and gold inks, is standing under many big arches of rock purslane, a succulent with fuschia colored flowers on the ends of looong stems. The terrier is looking up at them happily.
