What goes up must come down. The AMOC at RAPID 26N in the North Atlantic is a balance of net northward flowing warm, shallow water (Gulf Stream, Ekman/wind, Thermocline) and southward flowing cold, deep water (upper and lower North Atlantic Deep Water). The dashed line is 1:1.
