Oh, is he dead? He ambushed me by phone once while I was in the post office. I do not regard his behaviour at the time as particularly honest.

Very disappointing from the new Prime Minister, very much sounding like the previous PM. These are among the world’s most vulnerable and desparate people. They need safe routes and humanity from responsible politicians, not grandstanding. This isn’t doing politics differently.

Let's be very clear. What Amnesty have done here isn't just bad for the trans community. This is bad for every single persecuted minority in the world because they have shown that money and threats will remove opposition to persecution. Think about it.

Officially two years since I had a full-time salaried job. Losing that job forced me to cancel my bottom surgery & FFS. Who knows when I’ll ever be in a position to schedule/pay for those again. I’d be banned from Bluesky if I said what I think should happen to the people who did this to my industry

Squishiness on trans rights is a dealbreaker for me because (a) it’s a straightforward issue of personal freedom and bodily autonomy much like abortion, and (b) the right is obviously coming after us cis gays next.

trans rights frankly is a top 5, potentially top 3 issue for me despite not being trans and not having any trans family being bigoted against trans folks not only hurts my trans friends and every trans person but is so predictive of further bigotry
