Damaging new guidance from the EHRC will shut out Trans people from daily life simply for existing, and anyone who doesn't conform to narrow ideas of how people should look could face suspicion and confrontation. We are taking a stand against this attack on human rights.

If you want to know what sort of people the UK transphobes are, consider they went to court to try and force police officers to asexually assault trans woman even if they don’t want to, and when the BRITISH JUDICIARY said, “no, that’s a bit far even for us”, they decided to appeal.
We aren't backed by billionaires. We can only defend trans rights with your help. Please give your support.
Fight back against the code of practice
The government’s transphobic code of practice is now up and running. But we’re not going to take it, we’re helping to fight back. Join us

I confess it is even funnier to me that, for a disturbingly large subset of Tories, the difference between their views and those of NeoNazis is manners, not content. But I digress.
Good morning to all soulless ghouls at Sex Mattress and associated ghastly twazzocks. You may have noticed that on the day your absurd lawfare comes into force, that trans women are still laughing at you and that the dreadful feeling that your passing will be met with a smile is still there.
You can tell trans women are women because we can open our mouths about shit we've known for 30 years and a guy who started learning it last year will see an opportunity to pipe up and be an authority on it
Its weird how the online spaces where trans and furries hang out tend to be the best spaces, even for people who aren't particularly queer someone should write a book about that oh wait
That said, let us take a moment to thank our Bluesky Trans and Furry Elders for freaking out Jack Dorsey so much he bolted and left us this nice social media playground, taking most of his crypto chuds with him. We thank you for your service.
If Rosie Duffield, Kathleen Stock, and Julie Bindel say nice things about me when I die then I know I will have been a truly terrible person
The GCs are uniting in their grief over Rod Liddle's death, a man who assaulted his young pregnant girlfriend and said he couldn't be a teacher because he'd rape the kids. He was also a vicious racist, long before it was so profitable. He hated trans people, so, to these 'feminists' he's a hero.
Oh, is he dead? He ambushed me by phone once while I was in the post office. I do not regard his behaviour at the time as particularly honest.

it’s just a fact, one that should inform how one perceives and interacts with trans women. we aren’t casting a spell we’re just reminding people of something they forgot
Who remembers how pleased with itself the BBC was its "exposé" about asylum seekers faking being gay
Concerns for LGBTQIA+ people after changes made to Home Office asylum interviews
Neurodivergent experts (NEs): “It presents differently in women.” NEs: “Because socialisation” 10000 spicy trans women: “Hang on a second” NEs: There’s no way to test this assumption but it must be right because obviously. Trans women: “Hi. You’re describing us. We’re here” NEs: “None”
Remove mine and I’m gonna rewatch some classic Vince Gilligan TV _really carefully_ whilst I still retain the ability to pay attention.
"removing my adhd diagnosis was a relief (because of ablest policies that discriminate against a significant proportion of the population)" is the new "I'm happier after detransitioning (despite my ongoing dysphoria, because I'm not being actively transphobically abused every day by my society)"
Very disappointing from the new Prime Minister, very much sounding like the previous PM. These are among the world’s most vulnerable and desparate people. They need safe routes and humanity from responsible politicians, not grandstanding. This isn’t doing politics differently.
Let's be very clear. What Amnesty have done here isn't just bad for the trans community. This is bad for every single persecuted minority in the world because they have shown that money and threats will remove opposition to persecution. Think about it.
You wouldn't know it from how some people talk, but it is incredibly easy to not use AI for anything.
Please hire Stella for a full time narrative position. Please prioritize hiring trans people right now. We're disproportionately impacted by everything goin on right now.
Officially two years since I had a full-time salaried job. Losing that job forced me to cancel my bottom surgery & FFS. Who knows when I’ll ever be in a position to schedule/pay for those again. I’d be banned from Bluesky if I said what I think should happen to the people who did this to my industry
And it's culture war nonsense based on twitter fights and lies, so like if you're a politician dim enough to fall for that, what other dumb shit are you going to fall for?
Squishiness on trans rights is a dealbreaker for me because (a) it’s a straightforward issue of personal freedom and bodily autonomy much like abortion, and (b) the right is obviously coming after us cis gays next.
trans rights frankly is a top 5, potentially top 3 issue for me despite not being trans and not having any trans family being bigoted against trans folks not only hurts my trans friends and every trans person but is so predictive of further bigotry
Just sent this: “I am profoundly disappointed to see Amnesty UK apparently not only give up on highlighting active attacks on trans people, but also apparently endorse those performing them. What are you for?”
Here is the link to tell them why you won’t be supporting them: www.amnesty.org.uk/contact-us/
When I did my legal name change (back in the 1990s) the lawyer gave me some advice: “Try to never end up in court; you will lose and the judge will throw the book at you.” It remains good advice to this day.
This is really bleak.
I know the lawfare and financial threats are real but this immediate backing down is something they don't do for fucking *dictators*, doing it for JKR and her ilk is grim

So @amnesty.org and @amnestyuk.bsky.social you turned your back on trans people in the U.K., when they needed you the most. You big yourselves up about how you take on governments over their human rights records, but when it comes to one single bigot threatening to take you to court, you fold.
