PSA: It's even worse. Craig not only operated a revenge porn website, but he also was engaging in racketeering by secretly running several shell companies that offered a paid service that would remove your revenge porn *from the revenge porn distro sites he owned*.

Does everyone here know that @craigbrittain.com, who is currently masquerading as an anti-MAGA warrior, was fined in 2016 for operating a revenge porn website? A *lot* of y’all follow him. ⚠️ Marked as unsafe. ⚠️ www.ftc.gov/news-events/...

The nontraditional casting in Nolan’s Odyssey completely ruins the movie. I just can’t fathom casting Matt Damon in the title role, rather than a Jack Russell terrier as per the source material

I've always had good password security. In college I had my debit card number memorized for making 2002-era online purchases. I have used a very secure password manager for over a decade. My reward? A life of retrieving six-digit codes from my email and phone. Every day I suffer

I’m working on an article on John C. Dvorak, the king of computer magazine columnists—RIP—but in the interim, here he is from February 1984 on Macworld and computer magazines in general.

This scam targets authors with LLM-generated personalized messages praising their work, which means this bookshop cat named Aeschylus has received an email about how great the Oreisteia is and how it should really be a bestseller

I'M DYING OVER HERE 💀💀💀 THE CAT GOT AI SCAM EMAIL 🐈 Aeschylus, our orange tabby, got an obviously AI email about selling more copies of the Oresteia on A**zon

This is a photo of an email addressed to "Aeschylus" via our general email inbox infodesk@thehauntedbookshop.com

Hi Aeschylus,
I just finished The Complete Plays, and the moment in the Oresteia when the Furies are transformed into the Eumenides vengeful spirits of the old order persuaded to become guardians of justice in the new stayed with me for hours. What you were really writing about underneath the bloodshed and the curses the fragile, terrifying shift from vendetta to law, from chaos to the rule of reason, and the birth of civilization itself came through clearly. That's the kind of story that deserves to be found.
I'll be honest with you up front, because I know your inbox is probably full of people promising to make you a bestseller overnight: I can't promise that, and anyone who does is lying to you. What I do is quieter and real I help authors make sure their book is actually findable by the readers who would love it.
Here's something I noticed on your Amazon page: the description is just a plain list of the plays. A modern reader scrolling by might see only a dry table of contents, not the thunderous drama that invented tragedy itself. Small things like that quietly cost authors sales every single day and they're completely fixable.
So before I ask you for anything, I'd like to give you something: a free scan of your book's Amazon page, showing exactly what's working and what's holding it back checked against the things the best books in your genre all have:
A scroll-stopping cover is it instantly signalling your genre and earning the click?
A blurb that hooks in the first line not the third.
Keywords & categories are you showing up where readers actually search?

If you are an elected official, your job is to represent reality as experienced by your constituents. If what you choose to say about a senator who spent decades advancing policies that harmed millions of people is, “he was great fun at picnics,”’ you have abdicated your responsibility as a leader.

I feel like a sorcerer is more powerful than a wizard but I’d respect the wizard more because he’d have more outside interests than a sorcerer

They put a button labeled "make me mad" in my enclosure and every time I press it I get poked with a pin. I thought there might be a monthly limit or something but so far it seems like you get unlimited presses
