I'm making a Roguelike Tower Defense game with Hexagons called Bestagon Defense. Yes, bestagons from CGP Grey.

Hi everyone! We're celebrating 23 years of bringing creative freedom and open-source art exploration to a diverse community around the world! 🥳 If you could make ONE birthday wish for Inkscape, what would that be? Comment your wish below, or share this post and introduce a friend to Inkscape!

Vector illustration of a two-layered cake (light at the top, dark at the bottom) with chocolate spread over the top and spilling over the edges. Sitting atop the cake is the number "23", wearing a party hat, with a card bearing the Inkscape logo sitting beside it to the left. The cake sits on a white plate, which sites on a green table, lightly textured with soft blotches. In front of the cake is a sign marked "MAKE A WISH". The background is a gradient of yellow above and red below, with silhouttes of hands bearing hearts in the center. The image bears a small "Inkscape: Draw Freely" logo in the bottom corner on a rounded white rectangle, and "inkscape.org" in the top right corner.

Little heads-up for those that don't know; you can now add links to your profile! Really good for listing what you're making!

No joke. I think this is the most important video I have ever seen about mobile games. This guy breaks down how this game psychologically profiles you, and makes the game harder or easier in order to show you ads

Some work today, adding the cost to each of the shop items. It's always the same, but makes it clearer where the cost lies, not with opening the shop, but with making a choice. I've also made the shop always open! Even if you can't afford it, you can still discover something to lock...

Screenshot of the game "Bestagon Defence" of the shop open. There is a choice of 3 turrets, each with a 1 "powercell" cost attached. There is a display of the player's current powercells and progress to the next in the bottom right.
The shop also contains two other buttons, a resume button, and a lock button with subtext "will reveal hidden choices"

So, working on Bestagon Defence again, actually nice to actually have visible daily progress again that's playable. Today was some more shader work, fixing a few things on the hexagon shader, and setting up the turret card in the shop! Next is getting modules, lives & hidden options setup

Bestagon Defence shop select featuring 3 turrets. Each turret has a card style with colours matching the turret colour. The turrets are Smasher, Choker & Hunter. Each card has a small inner glow matching it's colour. Each turret has a name, tagline, icon & image with stats below. The stats are the same for each turret

the lens I've been using is this: - Artistry is about realizing your vision - Creativity is about artistic problem solving under constraints - Craftsmanship is about the creative process itself all three of these are good values, but they have different priorities that sometimes conflict

Seems like Microsoft has sent a false DMCA to another block game, this time Luanti. Please check out this article to see more information about it. It's really bad that this sort of thing is allowed to happen. blog.luanti.org/2026/08/27/l...

Luanti removed from Google Play due to baseless AI copyright notice

Luanti has been removed from Google Play due to a DMCA notice from Tracer.AI. We have filed a counter-notice, but this isn't the first time.

Just a reminder this setting exists, personally, I'd love it see it anywhere you can post images. It's easy to forget, but if it makes the internet a little better for a few people, it's worth the time.

Accessibility settings in bsky:

We rebuilt Lumo from the ground up, resulting in a 240% increase on the independent Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index (Lumo 2.0 Max vs Lumo 1.4). You can now choose fast or thinking mode, making everyday interactions feel faster while giving complex, multi-step queries additional depth. 2/6

Today in AI is great and you should love it; Some bots are having a fabricated discussion on one of my open-source Starter Kits talking about files that simply do not exist, the game wasn't even written in Python. github.com/KenneyNL/Sta...

Last year, miHoYo copied my puzzle game Ouros in Zenless Zone Zero. Because they are a recognized, billion-dollar studio and my game isn't well known, some people are now assuming that their version is the original, and mine is the clone. I hope this video clears that up.
