I think you see so many politically moderate would be Trump assassins because Trump's assault on norms has been more jarring for people who had more faith in the American way.

For the “tone down the rhetoric” crowd, Trump literally posted Obama’s address and the next day a 1/6 guy armed to the teeth showed up casing the residence.

Dunked on this yesterday but in reality the first order of business needs to be punishment. I'm not kidding. We can't start fixing anything until we punish, and punish hard, the people who put us here. That needs to be done to send a message. And if we don't punish, nothing else will matter.
