Queer disabled socialist. You know the sort of thing.

SECOND THOUGHT OF THE DAY… After a lifetime of obeying the rules and just “doing the right thing”, approaching six decades on this planet without even a parking ticket... I will not be being obeying the EHRC CoP. Fuck them‼️ Fuck a lot of them‼️ I will not forgive, nor will I ever forget.

This is all horrific stuff, and I invite you to go back to 2018/19 and reread her columns, newspaper interviews and podcast appearances talking about it, and then decide who it sounds like it was, that had been doing all this.

I don't even know what to say. This is real, this is true, so, like, thank you all, from the bottom of my heart. This took over 25 years to happen so if there's any lesson here it's either "keep at it, who knows" or "many people are divorced"

image of a gold record superimposed on part of Vaughan Oliver's iconic cover for the Mountain Goats' "Tallahassee" album, with a banner beneath it showing the entire album cover, an RIAA seal, and the text: Presented to THE MOUNTAIN GOATS to commemorate the RIAA Gold certification of more than 500,000 copies of the 4AD single "No Children"

The "gender critical" movement are not appealing their loss in their fight to stop the puberty blocker trial. The "irreversible harm" James is talking about here is people being trans. That's it. Helen Joyce said it clearly, even if trans people say they are happy they consider them to be "harmed."

Puberty Blockers Trial Update

It is with a heavy heart that I announce that we will not be appealing in our failed judicial review to stop the puberty blockers trial.

We looked at every possible angle for appeal but do not believe the merits are there, given how extremely high thresholds involved.

Make no mistake, the High Court judgment does not negate the irreversible harm that will be caused to children who take part in this trial.

Thank you to everyone who supported us during this campaign and I’m sorry to not bring better news.

I will continue to do whatever I can to stop this trial taking place and will be working with colleagues on alternative strategies over the coming weeks.

At a bus stop at the end of the street and some drunk old tit with a can on at 11am got fucked up by two lads for racially abusing their mother. Which he's now admitting loudly on the bus as though he's the victim in this. I couldn't pick those lads out of a line-up. And if I could, I wouldn't.

You only have to look at the veneration of the recently deceased Rod Liddle by prominent women in the "gender critical" movement (Kathleen Stock, Rosie Duffield etc.) to know that their claim to be "protecting women" is utter nonsense.

The lies and misinformation spread about Islam in recent times started with 9/11. The community is under increasing attack. This level of hate is ignored by the government, media and authorities. Where’s the Cobra meeting? Words of reassurance? Funding for security, so they can feel safe?

I take the point about upsetting loved ones, but has anyone checked to confirm that anyone did indeed love him? Because I’m thinking we may be in the clear in this one.

I'm being made homeless in 28 days. My health is so shockingly fragile that a single night on the streets *will* kill me. Could I perhaps get a letter from my GP to that effect so I - you know - don't die? "That will take up to 28 days." When I stop posting, raise a glass for me.

2 days ago, @amnestyuk.bsky.social posted an apology for calling a number of anti-rights organisations "anti-rights organisations". In response, many, many people who care about human rights expressed their anger at this capitulation to hate-fuelled bigots. Their response in the last 2 days? Silence

Anyway, the doublespeak Charles is forcing himself into on this issue is exactly the kind of insanity inducing nonsense that leads someone like Sarah Hurwitz to articulately clarify how the problem with Gaza is that holocaust education was TOO successful

Ex-Obama Aide Says Holocaust Education Is ‘Confusing’ Young People Into Sympathizing With ‘Weak, Skinny’ Palestinians

Former White House aide Sarah Hurwitz warned this week that Holocaust education was "confusing" young people into sympathizing with "weak, skinny Palestinians."

So how many more disabled people and older people should have been allowed to die so that young people could go out more during a pandemic? As one of these young people who was then at uni, struggled with lockdown & depression, and who also ended up in a wheelchair from long covid... Really?

I'm trying hard not to revert and withdraw. When I find myself dealing well with hostility, and letting it wash over me, I should try and remember the context that those people being hostile are Frank's friends. I can't adult any more. I dont think I ever did, really.

Seeing people criticising this as a kind of tone policing or call for politeness and i dont think it is, to me its more dont get in trouble for something stupid, like if you are going to be in trouble have it be for something meaningful rather than foolishly saying something bloodthirsty

[13] The end result is we are living in a global age of unreason. Nothing seems logical anymore & in society it appears that to express truth is now a contentious thing & worse to explain how truth is arrived at - a sin beyond horrors.

The email from Amnesty International UK is even more gaslighting than their public statement… 😖 Including ‘gender critical’ transphobic tropes such as “rolling back women’s hard won rights” and treating trans people with “dignity”! F*ck them!!! 😖😣 Donation cancelled.

AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL
Dear Lead Activist
As you may well have seen, Amnesty International UK recently made a public apology for the publication of the briefing "A growing threat: the anti-rights movement in the UK". This document should never have been published, and full responsibility for this error rests with Amnesty International UK.The briefing was taken down shortly after publication, was not actively promoted, and will not be republished. We have an ongoing internal investigation into how this briefing came to be published. As part of this process, we have also withdrawn an earlier more discursive briefing, "Like a Snowball," which similarly referenced a wide range of organisations.
AIUK holds itself to the highest standards of research, evidence and editorial oversight in all its publications. We have concluded that this briefing does not meet those standards. We will commission an independent external review to learn from this moment to ensure our work meets the high standards expected of us and of the wider Amnesty movement.Amnesty International UK is deeply committed to our work on gender justice. We are committed to the rights of all women and all girls the world over who face multiple and increasing attempts to roll back their hard won rights. We are committed to the rights of all trans people, in the UK and globally, as their fundamental human rights, dignity and very existence comes under sustained attack.
Our commitment to the idea that all people should be safe from gender-based violence, oppression, discrimination and hatred remains emphatic and absolute.
It is my mission as CEO to defend the idea that rights belong equally to everyone, to build bridges and synergies in a world where divisions are becoming both deeper and more entrenched. We know that this will be disappointing, frustrating and upsetting for our supporters, members and activists and for this, too, we apologise without reservation. We know that you champion and represent the organisation, put your trust in its outputs, and rightly have high expectations of our research and our actions. We commit to listening, learning from our mistakes, and ensuring AIUK remains a fearless champion for human rights and universal equality.
Yours sincerely
Kerry
