TTRPG designer, known for Heirs of the Leviathan, and a couple of Danish Larps. I like making games that fundamentally change how people interact, be it laughing, cheering, or crying. I also draw. You can find my games at https://rakatung.itch.io

I tend to frame it less as “hobbyist” and more as “leisure time and income to take something seriously/carefully but not market-driven” Which is why I think a lot about how TTRPGs and AP would be different under a meaningful social safety net, or UBI.

Crunch-focused folk want new supplements, to give them more subsystems they can theorycraft on but never use. Storygames folk want new systems, to give them more genres they will turn into girlfailure yuri comedies. OSR folk want new adventures, to give them more rooms they will never dare enter.

Vaguely: you know, I do feel that if your honest belief is that "systems are largely interchangeable because there's only so far you can stretch a d100 and success results", you would benefit from reading more systems. Moonlight at Roseville Beach and Zephyr alone challenge that assumption.
