SCHIFF: You told my staff you stood by your article in white nationalist website VDARE where you wrote, 'Muslim immigrants & their kids seem prone to terrorism' C: I wrote that article in support of Trump's travel ban S: Do you stand by it? C: I stand by that article S: That's all I need to know

It's demoralizing living in a nonstop Abuse-a-thon: we've had to learn the sordid details of so many men's abhorrent behavior; I mean this summer has been Graham Platner, Andrew Tate, Jared Leto, Max Miller, plus the horrific L.A. rape-murder of the child by the rapper, to name a few lowlights.
Biking to the outdoor pool brings back memories of childhood! I try to take advantage as much as possible since in Chicago the pools are open only a couple of months.
This is agent #7880, who we've become quite familiar with in immigration court & other videos like this around the Chicago area. He was also the agent giving orders at Broadview on Sept 26 last year, when his agents shot my reporting partner in the face w/a pepperball.
Yesterday prominent Chicagoland ICE observers shared video online depicting 2 federal agents approaching observers with weapons in hand, threatening arrest. The same video shows an agent using a vehicle to box in the observers' car, and another agent asking why the observers are blocking the road.
The GOP goes on about protecting women in sports and then goes on to protect Max Miller.
Flock cameras are another reason to ride a bike instead of drive when you can.
"More needs to be made of this," a senior CBS News staffer tells me about the 60 Minutes story that Sharyn Alfonsi was working on about Epstein and banks that appears to have been scuttled after her firing. www.bloomberg.com/news/article...
One sign of the rise of male supremacy and the decline in women’s status is the ubiquity of online porn lingo in casual speech.
It was this one, and, yes, I do believe that was an All In first.
it’s not certain men, it’s most men
As I told @monicatorrr.bsky.social of @huffpost.com, "As [women] grow older and more mature in their careers, they lose some of the fear of speaking their mind. And certain men don’t like that." www.huffpost.com/entry/age-di...
Another last Friday of the month means another @chicritmass.bsky.social! Glad I braved the chance of rain on this one because I caught a lot of stylish peeps. I loved the color combos with green on Erin and Steve, Otis’ orange jumpsuit, Wally’s black-and-white top (first mass!! 🙌🏻)...
Motion to look at the hard drive of anyone who supports this
An initiative on the ballot in Washington state in November would require all athletes seeking to play girl's sports from kindergarten to high school to undergo "genetic screening, a testosterone-levels test, or an examination of their reproductive anatomy" before they can play
When are we going to get real about how out of control drivers are?

The one time cops actually did their jobs after a guy tried to break into my place, they pressured me to lie about what I’d seen so they could charge him with breaking and entering. (Technically he hadn’t entered but had slit the bathroom screen and opened the window when I heard him.)
It’s so funny when people are like “sure you’re an abolitionist now but wait until you’re the victim of a property crime.” Buddy, the most useful thing the police have ever done for property crime is put the form you need to submit to your insurance online.
Young guy in an SUV coming down Lincoln toward Sunnyside saw me preparing to go thru the intersection as the light turned—slowed momentarily then actually sped up to go through the red. My kingdom for a semblance of traffic enforcement.
The good thing about rainy days is that you definitely get a lap swim lane to yourself.
just incredible to watch the US president take Iran's side when my state's water systems are under cyberattack
Trump is on the side of Iran and not Minnesota. Congratulations everyone. Apparently J6 wasn't proof enough that he was a danger to the country. Lol
Trump: "We heard in Minnesota there was a cyberattack and they blame it on Iran. I don't think so. I blame it on Minnesota because they're grossly incompetent. Iran's got bigger problems than worrying about Minnesota."
Afternoon work derailed by attempting to find the owner of a stray cat that wandered onto my back deck. Had to go get him scanned for a chip and then it turned out the owner had given it away. Good news is that they are coming over in a bit to get him!
Braved some rather large puddles after Monday’s massive storms to join @bikegridnow.org’s Bike Jam along Lincoln Avenue to advocate for more bike infrastructure. I liked Ruben’s ensemble incorporating shades of lavender and Veronica looking fierce in basic black with jeans.
Similar to “are universities turning students into liberals?”
Another classic case of “sucks to suck”.
Anyone else getting an error when trying to upload video here? Tried both mobile and desktop, renaming the file, trying a version without music, etc.
I would really love it if I didn't have to call different professionals and service providers multiple times to get what i need from them.
Here's another good example (of so very many) of why you shouldn't use Twitter
This hearing is driven entirely by Elon Musk's algorithm. Not a single normie voter alive today has thought about Anthony Fauci for at least five years. On X this is a pressing issue - maybe the pressing issue - of the day. It doesn't matter at all.
Did a deep clean around the cats' litter box this morning and now I still have to work too? Sheesh.
Someone got shirty with me for sharing a fact about cheese
Because the people cry out for another mediocre fleshy white man’s opinion.
Scoop: I’m told that Ross Douthat is exiting The NYT and is expected to take a role at “60 Minutes.” News expected to be announced soon.
Striking new poll of Texas Senate race: Talarico 45 Paxton 40 This is really notable: Talarico leads among non-college voters by 45-36 and among independents by 43-23 (!) Hard to imagine this is right but he's probably slightly ahead now. www.texastribune.org/2026/07/28/t...
Talarico leads Paxton by 5 points in new Texas Senate poll
The poll found the Austin Democrat with a commanding lead among independents and a surprising edge with non-college-educated voters, who have consistently favored Republicans.
