JUST IN: The AI “tokenmaxxing” era is ending as companies tell employees to cut back amid soaring usage costs.

I could be wrong but I’m skeptical of an idea of intelligence or sentience behind the human model because are definitions are rooted in our own experience

All I have to say that in my job I absolutely have to know both my code and the data. What ever obscure edge case will come up in our data discussions with the product teams

Re: that last post from Propter. I wrote 25k lines of code with Claude Code last month. Is it good code? I don’t know. Does it do what I need it to a make me better at my job? Yes, absolutely. Would it ever have gotten written without Claude Code? Absolutely tf not.

Using Claude at work. I find it helpful. But the more I use it, the more convinced I that the whole world had gone crazy

data eng interviews are brutal tbh. you either know what a slowly changing dimension is or you don't and there's no faking it

the solution to "not wanting to write" is the same as the solution to roughly 90% of problems writers face: you knuckle the fuck down and write. there is no short-cut that will make you better at your job. just do it.

This is random speculation but I think a lot of Dem candidate ads are “too good” in terms of aesthetics and cinematic quality and it would probably be more effective to be pushing more cheap-looking AI slop.

Charlie Kirk called me a ‘lunatic’ and a ‘prostitute’ and demanded I be deported. Nothing, *nothing*, justifies killing him, or robbing his kids of their dad. We don’t know the identity or motive of the shooter but murder can *never* be the response to political disagreements.
