Too many still think the law will protect them. Too many still think they can vote their way out of this. If you think for one second that the midterms will slow him down, or that he'll fade into obscurity after his term officially ends... I've got some beachfront property in Arizona to sell you.

You can either deny reality or fix it, Trump is a reflection of your country as it has always been. It's not enough to reject or oust his regime, but also, have a serious reflection as a nation of how you actually got here, allowed corruption & impunity to exist openly for so long, and change it.
On this MLK Day let us remember his wisdom. But also that his movement succeeded, in part, because there was a much less peaceful movement waiting in the wings should his have failed. There is a very important lesson to be learned from that.
This is a critical point. What we're really witnessing is the *collapse* of law and order, brought about by Trump's lawless thugs. I think a lot of ordinary people intuitively understand that this is what's happening.

We need to pick up this Overton Window and throw it as far as we can. Stop waiting for shit to “be popular” and start advocating for what is transparently right.
Yet another perfect example of why leftists find it difficult to ally with liberals Number 1. Vote shaming alienates the very voters you need. Number 2. It was never about "purity". It's about having standards and politicians not meeting those standards.

I am also calling on Congress to support my bill with @jasmineforus.bsky.social to force ICE agents to wear body cameras, not wear masks, have visible identification & ensure ICE has independent oversight.
Incrementalism doesn’t work. I used to be an advocate for it. That was wrong. We can’t chip away at the rot in hopes of laying the ground work for big change later. We have to go in blasting now. Abolish ICE. Raze his ballroom. Defund all his shit. Jail the crooks. Restore America.

I genuinely can't understand why it's so hard to accept that BOTH of the parties that have been running this show for the last 170ish years are responsible for the absolute shit show we're dealing with today? Is one of them objectively better than the other? Sure. Can't we do better? We have to.

We've already got that. They're called Democrats. What we need is the wholesale destruction of the so far-right they fell off the map Republicans, and an actual left party to represent actual people.

A party of people like Bill Kristol. Again, that makes lots of folks here angry to hear. But it's the reality.
The “prosecute the former regime at every level” candidate has my vote in 2028.
