I think it’s quite ok to give this guy Bonehill-Paine a second chance if the stuff about his rehab and education is true. But, if you’re going to do that, you need to be consistent on early release otherwise you’ll just be called a hypocrite.

Badenoch just said, on national TV, that UK's carbon emissions have gone up "in total" because of the 2008 Climate Change Act. They have, in fact, declined by more than half. Did #Kuenssberg break in to point this basic fact out? Of course not
The new #CarbonReckoning legal projects aligns with Prof Anderson and his Tyndall colleagues work. We are seeking a legal review of the Seventh Carbon Budget setting, read more here - 👇 bsky.app/profile/dran...
🚨 BREAKING: Andy Burnham's Government on notice on climate on Day 1 Carbon Reckoning has just sent a formal legal letter (see link in reply) over the Seventh Carbon Budget. It didn't follow the science or the UK's international obligations. Please chip in 👉 www.crowdjustice.com/case/carbon-... 🙏
Tim Stanley offered them the olive branch that the left was to blame for them collectively losing their minds on climate change, but still the Telegraph’s readers are not ready to be reconciled with science and reason.
Let's just say that the readers are losing their minds in the comments under the article. More than 4,000 comments so far. A tiny sample...
The UK has registered 6 days of 35C or above so far in 2026. In the whole 20th Century (including 1976) there were only 12! But of course, drill baby, drill!

A new government is setting its direction. I and many others have just signed the European Movement’s petition asking Andy Burnham to drop the red lines on the EU and set out a plan for Britain’s European future. Why not add your name? Click here: www.europeanmovement.co.uk/5_asks_for_a...

Please Andy Burnham, Don't waste £264 billion on Unproven Carbon Capture technology. Invest a fraction of that money on planting street trees for shade, restoring wetlands, peat and bog, preserving ancient woodlands, adapting the UK to hot weather - all Proven Carbon Capture devices!
Here's a way to save the economy £11billion a year
Honesty about immigration, honesty about Brexit, honesty about racism and xenophobia, those should be the absolute minimum. We’ve had almost none of that for a decade.
Unless this “honesty” involves the recognition that immigrants are *not* the root cause of the UK’s problems *but* actually a part of the solution to them, this will be completely pointless. I cannot stress this enough. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

BREAKING 🚨: reports suggest Andy Burnham could approve new oil and gas fields, including Rosebank. Is he REALLY going to cave into the demands of the profiteering oil giants and Trump? Or is he going to stand with people facing soaring bills and a worsening climate crisis?

Fix the schools - and you'll fix the city. Meanwhile, Paris has now 300 "rue aux écoles". These are school street where walking, playing, relaxing and cycling is allowed, and driving is forbidden. Around 50% of all public nursery and elementary schools in Paris now have a school street in front.
Really pleased for Remco. But let’s be real, he only one because Poggy was trying to engineer a win for his team mate.
It appears that drilling for oil is more politically acceptable than alignment with the Single Market for Labour, despite the latter being more popular with the electorate.
Listening to the BBC pundits laud Deschamps and run down Tuchel. His French team was absolutely stuffed by Spain…
If Britain were in the Single Market, the extra income to the treasury would mean that there would be no pressure to release new drilling licences. Burnham says he can't do stuff that's not in the '24 manifesto. Well, that document ruled out new drilling licenses. I'm appalled.
