I think it’s quite ok to give this guy Bonehill-Paine a second chance if the stuff about his rehab and education is true. But, if you’re going to do that, you need to be consistent on early release otherwise you’ll just be called a hypocrite.

'I remember swapping jerseys with Franco Baresi. What was depressing was that he got a sweat-soaked Scotland number nine while the Italy number six I got in return was not only bone-dry but still smelling of his cologne.' - Scotland striker Ally McCoist, March 1996

Badenoch just said, on national TV, that UK's carbon emissions have gone up "in total" because of the 2008 Climate Change Act. They have, in fact, declined by more than half. Did #Kuenssberg break in to point this basic fact out? Of course not

A new government is setting its direction. I and many others have just signed the European Movement’s petition asking Andy Burnham to drop the red lines on the EU and set out a plan for Britain’s European future. Why not add your name? Click here: www.europeanmovement.co.uk/5_asks_for_a...

Andy Burnham must seize the moment to build a bold, forward-looking agenda for his administration to lead the UK towards a new European future.

⚽👀🤑 ... Apparently ... 'Chris Martin’s spectacularly toe-curling half-time World Cup final show was an atrocity for the ages.' 'The performance was a grandiose flub - perfectly fitting for the soulless spectacle that Fifa seems determined to reduce football to.' inews.co.uk/culture/musi...

Fix the schools - and you'll fix the city. Meanwhile, Paris has now 300 "rue aux écoles". These are school street where walking, playing, relaxing and cycling is allowed, and driving is forbidden. Around 50% of all public nursery and elementary schools in Paris now have a school street in front.

It appears that drilling for oil is more politically acceptable than alignment with the Single Market for Labour, despite the latter being more popular with the electorate.

If Britain were in the Single Market, the extra income to the treasury would mean that there would be no pressure to release new drilling licences. Burnham says he can't do stuff that's not in the '24 manifesto. Well, that document ruled out new drilling licenses. I'm appalled.
