This is rough but I think it talks about a lot of what is missing from the Cunningham/WNBA discourse. Namely, that trans people are not hypothetical thought experiments. They are real people who are being genocided by our government & any coverage that doesn't center that reality misses the mark.

This feels grimly accurate. I think for most people, engagement with the party feels like getting on Temu’s mailing list: Just a neverending stream of spam asking for cash and no other meaningful call to be part of anything that might generate any sense of identity or community.

Most people's experience of it is an endless stream of texts that read like scams, their reward for donating or signing a petition. No wonder DSA is growing
Basically, any barrier you put in front of a program like this (like some form of means testing) means less and less kids get to eat. We know this, it has been proven over and over again. It’s frustrating for it to then keep happening, esp when I truly believe at least some involved DO care!

Today, Jules Sherred dives into the science of testosterone and the reality of the effects it can have on the body.
This is silly, but when dunking on it, consider that exogenous testosterone is life saving healthcare for trans people and try not to get too weird.
