Portland. He/him.

Yeah I’m gonna need yall got get me a 7th vote. I think that vote is Jamey, give her a follow, donate, volunteer. If you want a progressive council every day till November counts and everything you do or don’t do shapes that too.

@pnwpolicyangel.bsky.social demonstrates once again why the progressives on council are the real collaborators and fiscally responsible reps Portland deserves. We need to expand the progressive table to never again allow the mayor to put his thumb on the scale. #breakthedeadlock #voteevenstar4d4

i’ve stuck my neck out to fight for ratepayer affordability and to make sure we don’t get worked over in yet another public stadium subsidy scam, and i’ve lost two endorsements over it. that’s unfortunate, but my job is to take on affordability and matters of public trust whatever the cost. and i am

Yet another (120+) Wrong Way Waymo: Century & Crenshaw, Inglewood, CA "waymo driving in oncoming traffic. Illegally merges into left turn. I thought these cars had driver assist for these situations." OP: tiktok.kimooner Waymo's demolishing the 'telops will save robots from themselves' theory.

This idea that councilors should gather behind a literal paywall to talk about the Moda deal with Dundon, to get lobbied out of public view potentially as a quorum, instead of a public meeting is disturbing. That style of access-based lobbying to policy development is over.

people are so desperate for any public figure who looks like they're fighting trump they'll literally take ANYONE. the Nazi tattoo guy, Gavin Newsom and the transphobia machine, Tucker "actual Nazi" Carlson, and MTG. opposition to trump is literally the only thing some people care about.

in general i think to go from "jewish space lasers" to being widely accepted on the left, you'd need to do some actual, public soul-searching. but mtg is basically the same right-wing psycho, she's just broken from trump on a handful of issues.

There is no clearer case for the necessity of Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 than how quickly southern states moved to eliminate Black-majority districts and dilute Black power after SCOTUS eroded Section 2. SCOTUS’s reasoning was immediately disproven by reality.

My entire lifetime has seen Republicans benefit from every structural bias in the system: two republican presidents elected while losing the popular vote, the senate being biased towards small rural conservative states, house and state legislatures being heavily gerrymandered, and a captured SCOTUS.

Breaking: Tennessee Republicans pass new 9-0 gerrymander after SCOTUS destruction of Voting Rights Act eliminating state’s only majority-Black district & last Democratic seat. Splits Memphis, which is 63% Black, into 3 districts to disenfranchise Black voters. Quite literally a return to Jim Crow

One of the funniest parts of this AI dystopia is that bsky is full of lewd bot accounts that are reposting some real shit about how “we’re sliding back into Jim Crow” but also like “subscribe to see me without panties”

🚨 Emerging scandal! 🚨 3 candidates — Kipperlyn Sinclair, Myrna Muñoz, & Tammy Carpenter — had a KGW interview about a moratorium on data centers censored after an opposing (pro-data center) campaign complained. Air the interview, @kgw.com.web.brid.gy The people deserve to have this information!

@trimet.org it’d be great if you stopped sending big flocks of ticket checkers to profile and harass people at night. What a waste of man power and money to kick people while they’re down and make the ride worse for the rest of us in the meantime. Do better.

This has been the GOP's "starve-the-beast" scheme for nearly 50 years. Meanwhile, millions suffer and struggle to get ahead as the rich get richer. See the problem here?
