Every cyclist death is heartbreaking, but it hits even harder when it's an advocate like this. It's infuriating and saddening. These deaths, especially on roads that are known to be dangerous, are simply policy choices.

🤯 It’s really, really crazy how much e-bikes have transformed life (especially for families with young kids!) in just 3-4 years. The safer streets and bike lanes that Somerville and our neighbors have been been creating are such a profound public good.

There’s no way to find out what happened, get transparency, and move on. We have to salt the earth under the DHS, dismantle the policing and surveillance infrastructure that allowed it.
Matthew 25 is what got him. Then: "I dont want to believe in hell. I dont want to believe youre going there. But this is what Jesus says. You can walk away. You can choose justice. You can use your skills and training for good. You can be a protector. But right now you're not."

Among them is a memo March 21, 2025 memo from State Dept. that verifies Rümeysa Öztürk, a student at Tufts, was detained only for writing an op-ed.
I’m becoming socially conservative in that I’m becoming a real tightass about civic virtue & honor. Fuck your boyfriend & his husband wearing dogsuits in private if you want, I don’t care at all, but I’m becoming pretty humorless about people feeling they have no obligation to any civic project
