🚨 SCCOP: Trump’s Iran war sent gas prices soaring — then his administration handed 133 million barrels of publicly owned oil to private companies, most with political ties to him, letting those firms, rather than taxpayers, potentially make billions from the price swings he helped create.

hmm, i've about had it with the bloor street "car lanes" experiment. literally no one uses these things. how can businesses expect to survive when there's no space for customers to linger?

A commercial street in old Toronto with two bike lanes, two general traffic lanes, and a row of parallel parking. Apart from some parked cars and a bicyclist, the street is mostly empty. Oncoming cars are visible in the distance.

Campaigns are gambling their war chests on Wall Street — and some keep earning after the politician leaves office. Or dies. One just lost $634,000. Another is still making money 13 years after its candidate died.

An embroidery hoop containing a sewn landscape from above. It shows a forest on the right, a line of fire and charred ground with smoke on the left. The smoke is felted wool.

“But I have such a history of doing the right thing!” yes, that’s why you have friends who care about you enough to give you the gift of feedback instead of just taking an unsteady breath and mentally crossing you off the list of people they trust
