At least constitutionally, under such conditions, a 2027 situation where Trump and the GOP in DC 'refuse to seat' the Dem congress, there is nothing stopping them from sitting somewhere else and impeaching and removing the president, the entire cabinet and SCOTUS in an afternoon.

I've been seeing a lot of people responding to this with "there ought to be a law," but importantly, we haven't needed a law for this sort of thing because no prior president wanted to be known as a leader who would literally kill people in their hour of need for not voting for him

The Supreme Court didn't "end" affirmative action. It declared it illegal in college admissions in 2023. Things do not magically "end" when they are made illegal. Theft has been illegal for millennia, but it happens all the time. So does racial discrimination in admissions.
