artist 🪷 stained glass & other stuff I like trees, pastries, and sustainability angeleno in the rockies

A few years ago, I was part of a garden + art show and displayed my stained glass all over this kind family’s garden. They’ve been graciously storing some of my tools and it’s finally time to pick them up and create again. Showing them my gratitude with the best loaf I’ve baked this year!

Not to poet-post, but one of the problems of the internet is that it's fuelled a culture in which people "love poetry" but never actually pay for it - consuming fragments posted online instead of immersing themselves in full collections - then being surprised when poets ask to be paid for their work

Gonna be a generational burden to recreate the norm that scamming other people is bad when our positions of leadership are being filled by proud scammers and people who previously only succeeded in the field of social media engagement bait

Being an artist is so weird and scary because you have all these huge feelings to make art with but then you are supposed to be very cool and detached with how people might hate it but also constantly be a song and dance man shouting about how great it is and also you have to stay alive??

Visiting my mom in Santa Barbara means finding all the old family goodies like this brownie tin made from the plane my grandpa flew in WWII along with a copy of the og family recipe
