Behold; my first Armageddon marines. They are lovely models, all painted for a commission. #warhammer40k #paintingwarhammer

This is glorious, both inspirational and rather intimidating given that I'm going to paint mine later in the year. Every time I look I see something else to love.
The painboy is nearly finished now, just the base and a bit of the back left. I've been painting the back on stream so you can see me doing it 😅. #New40k #artisopusltd #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #AdWip
Gallatin was a senator during Washington's second term, Jefferson's treasury secretary, and we have a daguerreotype of him from the 1840s. We just barely missed having photographs of the Founding Fathers themselves late in life.
There were Revolutionary War veterans who lived long enough to be photographed during the Civil War.
Done with this trio; Murderfang built from an old metal dread and spares, a combo lieutenant and Murderfang’s baby terminator brother. #warhammer #warhsmmer40k
I've done more work on the painboy, dirtying him up a bit, although he still needs blood stains. One of my favourite models from the box! #New40k #artisopusltd #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #AdWip
The conversation I have had with each of my kids: "if you *ever* run into a problem online and you think you're in trouble, you can *always* come talk to me about it, and if you think I will be upset about a choice you made just start out by saying 'I may need some help.'" And I will take that...
And it's why the biggest internet safety advice I give parents of teenagers is to make crystal clear that they will never blame their kid for being the victim, because that is the ONLY way they will ever know there's a problem. bsky.app/profile/raha...
No spoiler mando movie review - it’s good. Basically another series in one go, I like the fact they bring the stakes back to being about characters not saving the world. There are also some nice explanations for things that have always been weird in universe which I like.
2 commissions done, I think that Black Templar dread may be my best work. Chaos is fun but a bit of a faff #warhammer #peintingwarhammer #nerdlings
Before I break something else off or leave more fingerprints in the still hardening gloss, I'm calling the Tamiya Ferrari F189 done, finally. A nice kit with a nice amount of detail throughout.
My most radical political view is that everyone should have to commute to work on a bike 2 days a week for a year. You can only escape death so many times before 9AM without actually deciding that on balance cyclists deserve to live.
The pro-car contingent gets to fantasize about running over bikers and protestors but you start asking for bike lanes and car-free spaces and it’s a “war on cars”
From Suzanne Breen's column in today's Belfast Telegraph.
Apparently it's #InternationalArchivesDay today, 9 June, so here's a link to a compendium thread of excerpts from the Imperial War Museum film archive which, incidentally, is the world's oldest film archive.
Thought I'd put together a compendium thread to catch all my #filmcataloguing posts. First up: bsky.app/profile/cura...
I genuinely like this app, I don't look at other peoples work much but when I do it's pretty cool. Mostly I use it to track my projects so I don't end up with a phone full of WIP pics and it's pretty awesome for that.
It’s been awesome seeing Vitrine come alive, with more and more beautiful miniatures being published constantly. Excited to keep building on this foundation and improving it going forward! #miniatures #paintingminiatures #minipainting #warhammer #wargames #wepaintminis #tabletop #buildinpublic
Beautiful work!
#Histscalemodels, I am officially done with the #BastilleBuild AMX-30B2 BRENNUS. Sneak peak here, glamor shots soon. Thanks goes out to everyone for advice, encouragement and community. This is the best scale modeling space online and I appreciate you all. As always, thanks for following along. 🇫🇷🥐

Murderfang with added fur! Pretty pleased with how he’s looking so far. #warhammer40k #spacewolves #nerdlings
I’ve hurt my foot so I’m modelling on the sofa so you’ll have to excuse my PJs, but check out that fur! I’m so chuffed with this technique! #warhammer #warhammercommunity #paintingwarhammer #spacewolves

This, on the death of Henry Nowak, is an outstanding piece of journalism by @stephenkb.bsky.social www.ft.com/content/aa94...

Kemi Badenoch says his killing needs to be seen as a ‘Stephen Lawrence moment’ but the failures in both cases differ

I don’t think this is controversial. All the others have purpose, the purpose of content is to exist and fill space. Ai can produce ‘content’ as well as any human, it can’t produce ‘art’ (for example.
My crankiest old man take is that referring to all art/entertainment/journalism/criticism/comedy/advertising as “content” helped pave the way for broad-ish acceptance of AI slop.
