People actually can't follow what this is meant convey. As ever, say what IS happening don't argue against what is NOT happening.
We didn't previously integrate wildfire-smoke costs into the supposed cost of climate change for the US, and it turns out to be bigger than all those other costs combined. Oops! Gosh I wonder if we're underestimating anything else. Probably shoulda done something about this. Ah well.

If we played as well as we played all tournament, we win that game 3 to 5 out of 10 times. Our players looked so nervous, as if they thought they needed to play even better to win 1/10 times. They psyched themselves out. Talent wise, we are pretty good actually

This USMNT loss is so disappointing because the talent gap with this Belgium squad wasn’t huge. They’re better than us, but not by leaps and bounds. We just played like absolute crap on the biggest stage. On a different day, we could have beaten them—we just weren’t up to it.
