My hope is that the El-Sayed/DSA/far left contingent don’t get despondent but realize that both factions need each other. It’s time to cut the shit and fight MAGA, not Democrats.
The fact that there’s not more people freaking out on BlueSky about this (and the way Johnson’s allies have been handling CPS the last 3 years) really show’s how much of Chicago progressive spaces are dominated by childless people.

Nick Ulivieri@nuphoto.com · 6d agoIn honor of #Bears training camp starting, here's an extremely niche football take: I think "round ear hole" helmet graphics [left] probably look almost as ancient to Kids These Days™️ as the 2-bar helmet graphics [right] did when I was growing up.
Zohran is such a funny case to use for this like a week after he very prominently had to record a video being like “so uh this thing I said I could do, it turns out I can’t”.
See, when Brandon Johnson got caught talking out of his ass it was about stuff like running the school board and implementing a mental health crisis intervention program. Credit to Zohran for thinking big and talking out of his ass on [checks notes] …ending the United Nations.

This reminds me of when I worked at a go kart place in high school and our main track was NASCAR themed. You’d have people holding up the line because they’d refuse to “drive a Ford” so I’d have to explain the karts were all just powered by Honda lawnmower engines.

El-Sayed’s problem is he’s reliant on young college graduates, but every college graduate from Michigan who hasn’t completely failed at life has already moved to Chicago.

All the glazing of Pochettinio is going to look a little suspect if the team goes out in the round of 16 just like Bradley, Klinsmann, and Berhalter.
