A trans couple has been brutalized by a mob, and then the trans woman ended up being arrested afterwards, at a public bathroom in Louisiana. EITM writer S Baum investigates this horrible act of violence in our latest piece. www.erininthemorning.com/p/trans-coup...

Content warning: suicide After May Pollard died on a late-January morning, a detective asked her parents a question: Had anyone wanted to hurt her? “A lot of America,” her mother answered. 1/ www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...

Idaho pushed anti-trans laws for years. Then a teen died.

The life and death of May Pollard, 16, provides a window into the tragic effect that legislation and political rhetoric have had on trans people in America.

nbcnews.com

The story of a trans girl who tried to fight Idaho's anti-trans laws, and died to suicide earlier this year, is only now coming to light. Our hearts are broken, but we need to tell these stories and mourn our dead, because the media is barely bothering to look for the victims of trans genocide.

Idaho didn’t want May Pollard to live. Now she’s dead by her own hand. - Assigned Media

A trans teen tried to fight Idaho's bathroom ban in court, but hate prevailed.

I just created www.lgbtqlegislation.com which builds on the work of the LegiAlerts team to provide an interactive data dashboard to look at 20+ years of anti-LGBTQ legislation and especially anti-trans legislation. It also includes an overview of pro-LGBTQ legislation. Check it out!

LGBTQ+ Legislation Tracking Project

Two decades of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, documented bill by bill — 10,000+ bills tracked across every state and Congress by the LegiAlerts team.

Just had meeting with kiddo's school. She has been fully supported, treated with full equality & dignity for years. All of that changes from September. Full segregation & humiliation across the board. The school staff cried in the meeting. This will absolutely lead to children's deaths 1/2

This was probably one of the nicest write-ups someone has done about me, and I think I may have forgot to share it earlier when I shared the episode itself. The conversation we had during the episode was also really enjoyable! Check out Coffee & Geography! geogramblings.com/2026/02/13/o...

Today, we celebrate our non-binary and gender non-conforming community at the start of International Non-binary People’s Awareness Week! What does it mean to be non-binary? 🧵

okay so here's where my head explodes. because if you define biological sex as binary based on gametes, but then concede that organisms can produce either, both, or none, and thus do not fall into two classes, then *what is the point of trying to say it's a binary*??????????????????????????????????

" It is precisely this highly consistent occurrence of two distinct gamete size classes across anisogamous species that renders the definition of biological sex based on gamete size inherently binary. [highlight begins] However, defining biological sex as binary does not imply that individuals necessarily fall into two classes, as they can produce male, female, both, or neither gamete class."

The truth is, you’ll never really know how far your kindness travels. Something you said in passing might still be echoing in someone’s mind. A small act that felt routine to you might have meant everything to them. Don’t underestimate the ways you may have made a difference in someone’s life.

In the UK, you can be arrested, charged, prosecuted and convicted if you do not disclose that you are trans before sex but a cis man doesn't have to declare if he has an STI.

Found out today our disability application was denied because the case worker decided that "Gadfly Stratton" must be a fake name. Despite me having to show them my birth certificate with that name on it. Luckily she was off sick today and we got someone else who's hopefully resolved it. I'm tired. 😫

My little mini Muffin is racking up an emergency vet bill today. I have been unemployed for over a year and pretty worried both about her and how I will pay it. If you are able to help, I would greatly appreciate it. If you are not, I hope her pretty face makes you smile. buymeacoffee.com/gadfly
