It’s wild Johnson thinks traveling the country & campaigning frees him of responsibility for the ass-whooping Republicans are about to get in November. Mike, we haven’t forgotten about the Big Beautiful Bill that gave billionaires a tax cut and is causing millions of Americans to lose healthcare.

It's obvious that Trump doesn't understand how economic and geopolitical power is built and sustained. But I it should also be clear that he wants to rob America of any power that HE cannot control. He'll burn America to the ground rather than let a successor erase his stain on History.

As Trump antagonizes Canada and Mexico, he risks “destroying a precious geopolitical asset: a strong continental base from which Washington projects power,” writes Robert Zoellick.

Good example of the cognitive warfare/gaslighting at play. This degenerate coward won't even pretend to lift a finger against the horror show, but wants credit for promising not to take pleasure in it. Fascists get their cruel mockery of all norms, while we're offered to thank JD for empty words.

JD Vance distances himself from Hegseth's televised execution: "Look, if it's ultimately livestreamed, I'm not going to be watching it"

"The network’s executives are keenly interested in maintaining good relations with Trump. Just last week, network founder Rupert Murdoch and several senior figures in his media empire reportedly dined with the president at the White House in an effort to “reset the relationship.”"

Karl Rove hasn't made a weekday Fox appearance since September 14. Trump condemned that interview, and Rove's WSJ piece condemning Bo French came out two days later. Fox benched him -- but why? www.mediamatters.org/fox-news/why...

An inexhaustible well of alternative reality springs in plain sight. A promise of eternal employment for the "savvy" reporters & news orgs who make peace with this state of affairs & stick to narrating "both sides" of our doomed journey. Let others bear the costs of stemming the flow of poison

The NY Times uses words like “fierce,” “steely,” “nimble” and “homegrown star of the Trump White House” to describe Karoline Leavitt, who just got a Fox News gig. Not a single mention of her relentless lying to the American public. Reporter Michael M. Grynbaum and his editors suck.

A new lawsuit by journalist @bubbaprog.xyz shows the DOJ secretly searched his digital accounts for a wide range of materials. And prosecutors failed to tell judges about a federal law protecting the press from search warrants… again.

DOJ’s secret search of journalist’s accounts omitted press law

Journalist Tim Burke’s new lawsuit challenges the government’s search of months of emails, messages, files, and other information from his Google and Twitter accounts

Sounds like an actual "lab leak" incident, but I bet the conspiracy theorists will dismiss this one. We need a WHO investigation and full transparency from the Russians. I'm sure the CDC is already scrambling to find out what's up and I can't wait for RFK Jr. to take the lead...

Reports out of the Irkutsk region of Russia reveal a potential public health crisis developing in the area after a lab accident released a “particularly dangerous infection” to a researcher, who later passed away.

If you want to really know how the outrage machine gets fired up: 1. Schmitt plans to drop “bombshell” on Smith 2. Someone plants story that Schmitt is a Vance VP contender to run same day 3. Right-wing Twittersphere gets talking points 4. Schmitt steps in it 5. Scheduled tweets go out anyway

Scoop — I've ID'd the two men sitting behind Sen. Eric Schmitt during his botched attack on Jack Smith this morning. Ethan Harper (left) is Chief Counsel to Schmitt, and Andrew Ceonzo (right) is Counsel to Schmitt and the Senate Judiciary Committee.

A phenomenal moment in the Senate. Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., claims he has evidence Jack Smith went to a HAWKS game in Atlanta. Smith denies it. Schmitt declares he has busted Jack Smith for perjury. Smith, vexed, says he went to HAWKEYES game in Maryland. WATCH IN FULL, UNINTERRUPTED
