1 reason @wired.com is leading is b/c they have long understood that tech is the infrastructure of *everything* & as a result is *the* invisible lever of power. Control the infrastructure & you control everything. The entire policy establishment (gov, media, academia) is still catching up to this.

I think it's freeing to know that I casually misunderstand a million things that I don't have specific domain knowledge about. I don't get why some people cling so hard to confident casual beliefs they hold about stuff they don't know that well. There's nothing wrong with updating your priors.
