Pittsburgh definitely unhinged, probably enraged

Stevens being the candidate DSCC chair Gillibrand fearmongered against McMorrow on behalf of Just humiliating every step of the way

As @mtsw.bsky.social likes to say, the media knows how to do a full court press and create a nonstop scandal when it wants to. Not doing the same to Republican threats to steal this same election, the NYT’s own story on Alaska failing to open polling places in Native communities, etc. is a choice

It's 48 hours before the midterms. The @nytimes.com thinks that: • 2nd most important election story is a speculative piece about whether their story will kill an electoral reform that reduces the effects of spoiler candidates. • 3rd most important is a discussion of why they ran the story.

A Midterm Campaign Dominated by Concerns Over High Prices Nears Its End
• Across the country, many voters have drawn
policies and inflation.

Did the Peltola Campaign Seal the Fate
of Alaska's Ranked Choice Vote?

Remember that we were told that it was an immense scandal when *former* President Bill Clinton met privately with Obama's Attorney General Loretta Lynch. But now the current president is ordering his own AG to initiate prosecutions against the president's political enemies right out in the open.

Trump: "She should be removed from the ballot and prosecuted! But [Blanche] is going to make his own decision. Todd, please make your own -- okay, he said yes."

Alaska is mostly a mail state and most of this is baked in (in the sense of most votes have probably already been received or are en route back to the election offices in the mail *and* in the sense that yes it was obvious to everyone with a brain that this was the case)

1. Staffers need to stfu 2. Get over it. “Oh poor Republicans got ratfucked” yea it’s time they had a taste of it. Change the world. Don’t like how it’s ran pass a law until then every dirty trick in the book is an option

Trump: "He said, 'Why does he keep calling me Muhammed? I said, you know why? Because I'm president of the United States. I can call you whatever the hell I want."

Every story like this is stupid in its own way, but this one got us the Treasury Secretary, who bought this house after working for George Soros, insisting on camera that he loves cheeseburger spring rolls.

I don't know if this is an example of the right's epistemic closure crisis or their inability to grok humor at any level but the thing that makes Obama's joke work isn't "Cheesecake Factory," it's "Saddam Hussein."
