Ex-farm worker here. We need to talk about this whole "But a living wage for farm workers would spike the cost of food!" thing. Not true AT ALL. Y'all don't understand how fast experienced farm workers are. The average tomato picker pulls 650lbs per hour. At $20/hr, that's $0.03/lb for labor.

This is not war btwn two states, or just about Modi. India is occupying Kashmir. There is no evidence that Pakistan was behind Pahalgam, but Indian imperial expansionism and Islamophobia drives this jingoism. Most impacted regions are lands of struggle - partioned Panjab & esp Kashmir. Free Kashmir

My pal from Pakistan was supposed to move back to Canada today. Pakistan airspace closed. She said India is sending drones all around Lahore, and they’re the “same drones Israel dropped on Palestine.” I hope for everyone’s safety and that she can get here sooner than later.
