This year's annual @lgas-baal.bsky.social event in Manchester was excellent - huge congrats to @nounfraze.bsky.social for organising it, & to @helensauntson.bsky.social for bringing together so many authors in the Palgrave Studies in Language, Gender & Sexuality series to mark its 10th anniversary!

Leap (American University, USA) This series publishes monographs and edited collections that explore the connections between language, gender, and sexuality in daily life, focusing on how language users, regulatory structures (such as the media or government), audiences, and bystanders negotiate identity boundaries and reproduce or challenge social normativities. Books published in this series will contribute to ongoing debates shaping the emerging fields of queer and trans linguistics. Speaking as an expert on transphobia and the gender critical movement: Block them. Hide replies. Report them. Do not "debate" them. The fact that they are campaigning so hard against blocking and in favour of debate/their right to harassment should tell you - it serves their interests to engage.
