Haley has support from a lot of respected Dems in Michigan. And she has raised doubts about El-Sayed's electability in the general election. But the outside money is not so much for her as against El-Sayed. It will disappear if she wins, and switch to the Republican side if she loses the primary.

Two additional points. One: This was at AIDS 2026, the 26th International AIDS Conference, in Rio de Janeiro. And: "A Reuters analysis found the image of the map included in the presentation contained an artificial intelligence watermark that signals it was made with OpenAI tools."

"A US government map of Africa mislabeled every country during a state department presentation at a global conference in Brazil this week, causing a stir among attenders who took screenshots and posted them online."

Yet another example of a polling agency actively participating in spreading an actual, serious and consequential lie to the public. Fossil fuels are more expensive. Clean energy is cheaper. @yougov.co.uk is very literally lying in this poll, and there should be actual consequences for this

65% of Britons agree with Tony Blair's call for the government to stop prioritising "clean energy over cheaper energy" Prioritise preventing increases in energy bills: 65% (no change from Oct 2025) Prioritise removing fossil fuels from energy supply: 24% (+1) yougov.com/en-gb/daily-...

Rishi Sunak tells Radio 4 that "AI is changing every aspect of our economy and our lives, and if I was back in office and looked at my diary and where I was going to spend my time, I would spend it on that" At no point does he or the BBC mention the £373,000 given to him every year by an AI company

DHS posts a new propaganda video that uses the White Stripes song "Icky Thump." DHS didn't include a line from the song, "why don't you kick yourself out, you're an immigrant too?" Jack White is famously anti-Trump so it'll be interesting to see what he says about this one.

I'm looking forward to this conference! Not looking forward to the Kafkaesque nightmare of getting a visa for travel to the UK, but it'll be worth it to hang out with my gender & language folx, some of the most interesting and welcoming scholars you'll find – so join @igala.bsky.social!

Will 100s of UK profs that signed statements supporting Stock due to the falsely claimed suppression of her speech by Sussex express outrage over being lied to in order to (1) further the career of Stock and (2) force unis to remove statements protecting trans faculty/students from harassment?

The OfS v Sussex ruling took OfS three years to gather evidence. Yet, from the ruling, OfS would only speak with Sussex under the condition they admitted fault (so they didn’t), and the only evidence presented was an outdated statement on its website and testimony from Stock, which was porky pies

Given the argument that ended the VRA, I think it’s time liberals did some self reflection about the now decades long obsession with partisan polarization as the problem, as opposed to authoritarianism, extremism, oligarchy, and racism
