@transmetalmum.bsky.social · 5h agoI've heard that the GC event in Belfast encouraged people to join trans supportive groups in order to change 'hearts and minds' from within. Organisations need to take note that this is most certainly a problem and it needs nipped in the bud.
Do CoE still intend to host the 2027 IDAHOT+ Forum in the UK? Even after a code that mandates whichever building hosts it must segregates trans attendees? How can they in good conscience allow it to go ahead? Or do they think trans attendees should ignore this and risk harassment, abuse or assault?

Why was @sianberry.bsky.social a Green MP marching with @amnestyuk.bsky.social who have legitimised hate groups by apologising to organisations attacking trans rights. Why was amnesty even at a LGBTQ+ march @brightonpride.bsky.social? Maybe someone has a better photo or Sian & Pride could explain?
The sadness in both my partner and I’s voices when we have these discussions is devastating. Neither of us want to go. 2 years ago, we couldn’t fathom a world where we would go (privileged position, I know). However, next week we’ll both be applying for Irish citizenship to look to move next year.

This is something I now hear regularly from almost all my trans friends. The tension between wanting to stay but not feeling safe. The tension between fleeing or fighting. The “what if where I go becomes just as bad?” It’s utterly shameful that law-abiding people feel they’re being forced out.

I saw Sian Berry (Green MP) marching with amnesty in Brighton Pride today. She was holding a sign that said Pride started with a protest, whilst walking with an organisation who has legitimised hate groups. If we could leave the country we would. Love & understanding for those who can & do leave.
Uhhhh. In the UK, apologies related to libel and defamation are usually part of an out-of-court settlement. If Amnesty have apologised without a settlement, they've been incredibly stupid. Does suggest some senior phobe came down like a tonne of bricks on the staff and not thinking it through.

Apple charges people ~20% more than the Patreon list price and they keep the difference for themselves. They also hold the proceeds of iOS app sales for 75 days, making it impossible for creators to accurately predict earnings. They basically inserted themselves in order to rip *more* people off

We must be clear that Burnham’s government is going to DELIBERATELY force trans people to go for hours without access to a toilet (incl children). Labour are still pretending that Burnham cannot rescind the Supreme Court misjudgement at any time. Burnham is CHOOSING to segregate trans people.
