The article describes the DeSantises as having a priority to cut programs for the poor, then claim they are reducing govt spending while taking that money for themselves, their own campaigns and their rich friends’ companies. That should sound familiar as it’s the same DOGE, Trump playbook.

There are a lot of things going on with Target’s financial performance (mostly: it’s a poorer shopping experience than it used to be and vs Amazon) but it’s also one of the clearest examples of execs pursuing conservative “anti woke” ideologies that have alienated loyal consumers.
