More Democrats should use their time in hearings like this. Trump can't stand it when his underlings use their position in his orbit to self-promote (like Noem did), and spending government resources on vanity projects is the kind of corruption people easily understand.

I keep seeing Americans say he "Doesn't get it" and similar. Please stop being a key part of the problem - stop applying *your* lens to these people. FFS, quit thinking shame will kick in. He understands fine - the use of power and privilege, shown by acting out the disdain - that's the point.

That... that's really bad. The cascade of nth order effects were known to be staggering last I looked into this, and that was many years ago.

i think folks might be unfamiliar with "the pharisees", so let's make it clear: he's saying the jews run the press, and that they are conspiring to undermine the military. it's not just antisemitism, it's indistinguishable from nazism.

I got too excited at being able to discuss some of the subjects and should have kept my mouth shut and listened more. But it was monetization and dark patterns... wish this type of conversation could happen more.

This seems to have gotten memory holed in discussions of Trump's blockade of Iran's blockade. The "peace" deal on the table was that Iran and Trump enter a joint toll booth venture, payable in Trump crypto. And WHY that didn't happen is the underlying question.
the funny thing about sending jd vance out to do sensitive diplomatic negotiations is he has literally no experience. like, none whatsoever. he doesn't even have related experience in lawmaking or some executive role.
