Urbanist, bicyclist for transport, enby, parent to two kiddos. I’m a thrill-seeker - when those thrills come from completing a project.

Who needs a car when you have a cargo bike? (Admittedly, if the furniture were any bigger, I’d’ve needed… a bigger bike!) Bonus - you can drive your vehicle right onto the elevator.

View from the rear showing that one of the shelving units hangs off the running board by a good foot. Bike with shelves on a closed elevator.

Much equivocating could be made (older car, sedan, America doesn’t make non-car a viable option), but the fact that this bumper sticker is on a car at all, remains ironic. On reflection though, it’s not like the sticker purports to want to do anything about it, just, here’s the facts. 🤷‍♀️

Pealing red bumper sticker that reads “The climate is changing faster than we are.”Parked Chevy impala on a tree lined street with a bike lane. It has a bumper sticker that reads “The climate is changing faster than we are.”

JK Rowling posted an upskirt photo of a trans woman and defended herself by saying the trans woman asked for it by wearing that outfit. If you don’t stop supporting her knowing that, I don’t know what to tell you.

Anti-Prime Day starts…NOW! 🥳 Today through 6/26, enjoy free standard shipping site-wide, all while supporting local, independent bookstores.

Could my #caucus friends please consider “uncommitted” for governor? So far #Klobashar is the only one running (that I know of) and she is so wrong for MN now. We need a leader who will bring us justice, not “reaching across the aisle.” Her brand of politics is useless these days.

What the fascists don't understand and what I think people from elsewhere don't understand is that everyone here has done the math. We know that we could be killed out there. But they could come into our homes and kill us too. Once you come to terms with that there is literally no choice.

If I didn’t have commuting to do, I’d cross-stitch “The vibe in the rapid response networks is heavy, but determined” onto a lumbar support pillow. I think about it a lot. (I’d cross-stitch the NATO alphabet on the flip side, if anyone’s asking.)

The vibe in the rapid response networks is heavy but determined. If you have brown neighbors you haven’t checked on, open a line of communication with them SOON. Drop by with cookies this week. They really need you.

My 8 year old was roleplaying as a time traveler panicking in the back of the car, “what is this thing we are in? This ‘horseless carriage?!’” My 6 year old calmly summed it up well, “It’s called a car. They kill people sometimes, but it’s ok.” That’s the agreement - but it really shouldn’t be.

Saint Paul, Minnesota people. Are you in District 64A? IF YOU ARE IN DISTRICT 64A YOU HAVE AN ELECTION TODAY! ***TODAY*** I KNOW YOU JUST VOTED, BUT YOUR HOUSE REP GOT ELECTED MAYOR AND NOW IT'S TIME TO PICK HER REPLACEMENT.

A map of District 64A. The western boundary is the border of Minneapolis; the eastern boundary is 35E. On the north, it's mostly 94 but in some spots it's Selby; on the south, it's mostly Saint Clair but then at Hamline it extends down to Randolph.

The busiest bus line in the most populous county in Minnesota is the D Line. These photos were taken within a block of it on either side. Even if sidewalk clearing occurred, parking clearing took precedent. Municipal sidewalk clearing is a moral obligation. Frey opposes it, Schaffer opposes it.

The #Rethinking94 presentation right now is arguing we can have a lot of benefits of freeway removal right next to the freeway, with attractive renderings of spacious bike lanes & happy families sitting & relaxing in a park-like atmosphere. Noise of whizzing traffic & diesel fumes not portrayed

It being #BuyNothingDay and all, I didn’t expect to see anyone while biking to and from my pet-sitting duties, so didn’t sweat the mash of pattern and color that my layered ‘fit was becoming. I ended up loving it though, and had to pause to document and share, so that you may bear witness.
