Thing about this is it is't hypocrisy (which is trivial anyway) It isn't even insincerity (which is not) It's just another example of how he had genuinely no fuckin idea of the job of PM that he thought "I will simply fly commercial" was viable in a job that requires him to travel constantly

We are fast coming up on two years since Luxon first said the economy was turning a corner. At this point, I’m beginning to wonder if Luxon even knows what a corner is.

The first 6 months of 2026 saw 1,411 businesses liquidated, up from 1,296 last year and putting NZ on track for the worst year in almost two decades. 97% of NZ businesses are SMEs: tradies, cafés, retailers and family businesses doing the heavy lifting. This is who Luxon is telling to grow up.
6 months - that’s how many businesses have been liquidated. Up on 1296 for the same period last year. But don’t worry, this is the party of “grow up businesses”

Oh, well then, I guess we’ve no choice but to let the foreign minister keep doing racism. Wouldn’t want to be principled, let alone call Winston’s bluff. Better things aren’t possible

In which case the fault for that lies squarely with Luxon and National for negotiating such poor coalition agreements and spending 3 years letting Peters/Jones/Seymour say and do whatever the fuck they like #nzpol
