If only Lebanon will bring back our hostages Oh wait..
Israel is committing blatant eco-terrorism in south Lebanon by dropping incendiaries to burn down ancient forests, crops, and olive groves. Scorching land, destroying livelihoods, and targeting firefighters is systematic ecocide to render land uninhabitable. www.theguardian.com/world/2026/a...

"Back to Basics" and "Restoring Discipline in Government Spending" like defaulting our disabled communities to suffer (unnecessary) economic hardship from needing to travel from Point A to Point B. Where's the "Back to Basic" if this Coalition Govt's policies are Back to the 20th Century? #nzpol

Morning home visit cancelled as client worried *I* would get blown over in the wind that's kept me up since 5.30am. I was worried we could both get hit by falling branches if we tried meeting at a cafe - good options are on reserves with large trees prone to shedding branches. Visit postponed.

It’s rough being a billionaire. First nobody thanks you for ruining search, and then you have to spend your own millions to prevent the serfs from having decent schools
Google co-founder Sergey Brin has now spent $100 million to fight California’s proposed billionaire tax—he could owe $13 billion if he loses | Fortune
The state’s ultrawealthy, including Larry Page and Peter Thiel, have similarly donated to efforts opposing the wealth tax.

Don't tell me I need to "teach students how to use AI" if my field has nothing to do with gAI. They already know how to "use AI." What they don't know are the things I need to teach them in my history and disability studies classrooms, the things actively being hindered by large scale misuses of AI
the fact that a billionaire can randomly throw $100,000,000 into a campaign against taxing the rich seems like the best argument yet they can afford it
A ton of effort is going to go into pretending taxing rich people doesn’t work just like a lot of work went into immediately ignoring and getting rid of that expanded child tax credit once it was revealed it worked way better than expected
Massachusettes "Millionaires Tax", which was targeted to fund transportation and education, has been a resounding success. It has funded FREE school lunch for ALL students, FREE buses in lowest income communities (people can get to work, etc.), and FREE community college. And "exodus" was minimal.
