Husband, dad to two kids. Curious, and trying to learn more. Living in Seattle, but still a Canucks fan. Skiing at Baker. Working at MSFT. My opinions are my own.

Remembering the time that Katherine and I made cauliflower soup and the whole house smelled like fart before we even ate any of it and smelled worse after and the leftovers went into the freezer labeled "FART SOUP" and we never ended up eating them.

Teaching my daughter the fine art of fly tying with whatever materials you have at hand, and the occasional four letter word. This as yet unnamed fly pattern turned out to be a redhead. She did most of the tying with some assistance.

A close up of a fly fishing fly with a red and silver body, with a black and white tail and hackle. It has a tuft of red over the eye of the hook.

A quick word on Taco Bell: That's where we found the suspected lettuce, and it's not bc Taco Bell is gross. It's bc Taco Bell is REALLY GOOD at tracing product! Keeping track of exactly where they got their ingredients, & exactly what restaurants each shipment of ingredients went to!

I saw The Super Mario Bros. (2023) movie in a theater rented out for a six year old's birthday party and it was by far the best way to see it. A sample of the audience participation: "The star makes you invincible." "What does that mean?" "It means no one can see you."

When I saw SPEED RACER (2008) the theater was full of kids who ran through the aisles making race car noises during the racing scenes. The ideal way to watch the film. Recreate it if you can.
