NYC announced it collect about $9,000,000 in unpaid idling vehicle fines from Amazon delivery vehicles and contractors. Predictably a certain group began stating that this would cause Amazon to refuse to deliver in NYC, blaming Mamdani. Because of course corporations should be above the law.

Meghan McCain publicly disclosed she had a miscarriage in July 2019, a year before the pandemic. She gave birth to her first child in September 2020, meaning she became pregnant roughly around Dec '19 - Jan '20, at least a month before lockdown. What a horrific and insane thing to lie about.

Narrative is one of the things that separate us from dumber animals. Your life having a point is good. Believing things is good. The takeaway from Trumpism shouldn't be "don't have an identity." It should be "your identity is important, and should be at least in part tied to the good you do."

The USDA is projecting the wheat harvest to be cut by almost half in the US. The state of Kansas is the largest producer of wheat and it is projected to harvest 44% less than from 2025. The American Farm Bureau sees a continued increase of Chapter 12 bankruptcies from 2025 as well.

This line from Ross Douthat’s final NYT column is something you see all the time from the soft-MAGA right. Sure, Trump’s *most* alarmist critics weren’t correct, but that’s basically true of every president. Trump’s *median* critic did in fact predict his presidency pretty accurately.
