as I’ve become older and wiser, the death penalty is one of the things I’m really radicalized against. we only get one go at this and there are no circumstances under which the state should be allowed to use its monopoly on violence to cut that short.
Nothing reveals the wisdom in Buddhism more than a big move. So much stuff. So much regret. Nothing that makes us as happy as it once did. We see impermanence everywhere. Yet we cling to as much as our bodies/emotions/budgets will bear, and then start the cycle again.

One of the county seats in Arizona is Holbrook, in Navajo county. It inspired Cars. In Holbrook, you can stay in a “wigwam” at a hotel. In the Cars movie they changed it into a traffic cone.
Dems replaced action on trans rights with hollow statements, then dropped those statements, then embraced anti-trans rhetoric. Now supporting anti-trans laws and blocking pro-trans ones. At every step the "they're betraying us" radicals were correct and "be patient" liberals were completely wrong.

a lot of people find him *so* annoying they *need* him to have only wrong opinions, and some other people like his opinions so much they need to not see him as uniquely annoying. but you really can have mostly fine opinions but just be extremely annoying. it's a great way to get your opinions heard

My mom died this evening. She went as peacefully as any of us could ever hope. She was the best woman who ever lived.

So watching your grandma talk to her dying daughter is a grotesque experience. Absolutely horrible. Especially when grandma is not ready. I would not have the stomach to wish it on anyone. Fuck cancer for all time.

Do not ask how I know. But please spend time with your loved ones. Our time on Earth is shorter than you think.
Doing anti trans messaging as a long time Dem incumbent during a wave year is frankly indefensible. And using “transgender ideology” EVER is all but disqualifying. Of course she’s 80 years old, I assume she’s a sundowning corpse and is just staffers/ consultants in a trench coat.

"I voted WITH Republicans to keep transgender ideology out of schools, and let me be clear, boys should NOT play in girls sports." This is getting out of control.
