i'm locked in on this film sorry to anyone else

While on leave I did get caught up on some some AppleTV+ shows I hadn't yet indulged. Some good (really enjoying Silo) and some so bad I found myself hate watching (The Last Thing He Told Me, which has a good cast but whose characters have to be some of the dumbest people alive).

The now 11 year old does this all the time. When he was 5 he learned to play chess at school and got overly upset when he lost, so we had some talks about sportsmanship. Then he presented me with a mixed up Rubiks Cube and said, "since grown ups like losing so much, here's a game for you."

Once more, the point of having military guards in full dress at the White House Nitro Circus sponsored by Black Rifle Coffee Company isn’t that this all presents a coherent vision of America. It’s a show of dominance, of publicly degrading our symbols and institutions to proclaim that they own them.

Off medical leave this week with small steps back. Feeling stronger every day and have appreciated the kind notes. To celebrate, I volunteered at the Great South Side Sale that Lehigh does every year to raise money for local kids. Including THIS GUY who will be 15(!) soon & folds pants like a boss.

We got a new oven last week after our old one went bust. I’ve never used one made after 2005 so the whole convection / WiFi thing is weird. But also I regret to announce I am becoming an Air Fryer Person (10 years after the trend).
