Spent a lot of time this week at the lake Winnipeg beach where I spent many days of summer growing up. But since 2018 someone who claims to own 800m of beach has blocked access to parts of it. Really insane stuff. How this is allowed is beyond all logic.
One of the most important issues of our time is that the future of humanity is presently being authored by people who have nothing but total contempt for humanity and seek the erasure of everything that gives being a human meaning. It’s not just annoying. It doesn’t just suck. It’s existential.
AI is pretty depressingly good at driving a wedge between those who consider any given thing worthy of attention vs those who see it as a mere means to an end
“The future is going to be very, very different from the past." Wow thank you captain obvious
There's a reason Elon Musk rarely does interviews with real news outlets.

Elon Musk and the online right convinced themselves that Christopher Nolan’s “woke” epic would go down in flames. Now they’re crashing out.

Historically accurate north american English? In ancient greece?? what?? Also I love how the A.I. video can't do sound design. It's just a series of random shots with VO and a soundtrack. The dialogue scene was so fucking weird too. Gross.
This is the video Musk is quote-tweeting when he says he'll deliver a feature length version of The Odyssey, just in case you were curious how dogshit it is

Spacemen 3 turned repetition into divine meditation and the wah-wah pedal into a church choir. Decades later, their influence continues to reverberate across rock’s outer limits.

The English rock trio's influence can be heard in a wide variety of sounds and styles. Here are a few.
