If the disruption really is some kind of political intervention, this is only further proof that Europeans—or anyone in the world—can’t rely on any of Musk’s products, as they will be at the whims of the technocrat that still finds himself at Trump’s beck and call. newrepublic.com/post/216600/...

I just finished my first watch-through of Netflix's 2018 animated series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. That might be the best-plotted, best-acted, best animated animated series I've ever seen. The themes of love, redemption, and what it means to be a hero are so perfectly done. I may blog it.

My webcomic makes no money, takes a lot of time, takes a lot studying, and not that many people follow it in comparison to other media. Been doing this this for 2 years and dont see myself stopping anytime soon because I love doing this. AI bros will never get that. They will never be artists.

the guy who ran the anti-library campaign in my town is running for city council so i went to nextdoor to ask what he meant when he posted repeatedly for years about "mentally ill leftists" and now his supporters are like "what about YOUR social posts" which is funny because i'm not running

I've been a bit quiet recently, a bit uncreative. Mostly it's because I've been trying to keep my head down to focus on something that's been bubbling since Jan. I'm hoping to self publish a book, aiming for august! Edits done, cover done... Now just need the website and infra. #book #first #queer

The UK as well is notoriously terrible at handling weather extremes. We have buildings designed to retain heat, with only a few modern builds able to stay cool during the day, while Aircon is a preserve of offices. Also our transport links are terrible for heat.

As fossil-fueled climate change makes heatwaves more frequent and deadly, I wonder how air conditioning will evolve in cultures that have historically disliked it. I hope many heat pumps installed to decrease pollution and costs from space heating will be two-way, so folks have AC just in case.
