Trump Ag Secretary Brooke Rollins just called his SNAP cuts a "pretty big win". Throwing 5 million struggling Americans — including families with children — off food aid to fund tax cuts for the rich isn't a "win". It's a national disgrace.

Jon Collins@jcollins.bsky.social · 14h agoBreaking: CoreCivic has announced they've sold the 1,600 bed Prairie Correctional Facility in Appleton, Minn., to the U.S. through the Department of Homeland Security for $495.6 million. CoreCivic will still manage the facility, which is expected to start receiving ICE detainees this fall.

Who needs healthcare when you've got completely redundant military hardware.
We don't need battleships anymore. We have the LCS fleet and destroyers. Battleships are arcane and fairly useless to the modern US Navy.
Why are we building battleships? A completely irrelevant platform for modern naval warfare. Granted, we don’t have any munitions for arming DDGs, but still.
