I cant believe there are two Seattle subreddits. One seems to mostly exist as a place where conservatives can feel more comfortable, which is par for the course, but there's a twist. Because cross posting is regular, it ends up as like a honeypot for them to debate lord people to the left of them 🤪

Embarassing to bluesky centrists that the average reddit user has better and more cohesive understanding of economy based on basic media literacy than the centrist's chart fucking. How do you get it more wrong than the debate lords?

Yeah so NYT asked me ~2 yrs ago to write an op-ed about how the Colorado is running dry, & what we should do to keep this exact thing from happening. I said "There's only one real answer. Bill farmers by how much water they use. Duh." NYT editorial staff freaked tf out & cancelled the piece.

saw an article today about an az politician saying how great it was that we're now in emergency drought conditions because the farmers get automatic bailouts and I feel like way more Professional Rural Understanders just breeze by sentences like that. www.paysonroundup.com/news/arizona...
