the lesson of tonight is that everyone needs to lock the fuck in for @peggyflanagan.bsky.social
i think that everyone should know about the ways this government is trying to criminalize dissent and protest -- not because it should scare us into inaction, but because understanding how it works is how we stop it from working. wrote about it for @thenation: www.thenation.com/article/poli...

lol just asked Bernie if Michael Harrington was right and he was wrong about working inside the Democratic Party. (He didn’t really answer)
Congrats again to the White House Correspondents Association!
Trump says Jeanine Pirro "choked" and then snaps at a reporter who asks if her job is safe: "Don't ever talk again"
Indeed - any Democratic Senator voting for this deal - is also voting to keep Susan Collins as the Senator from Maine.
Dem Senators who are allowing Collins to.give herself moderate cover are either stupid or evil. I am completely out of patience with this quisling behavior
I worked for New York’s largest medical center at the start of the pandemic. There were morgue trucks on the streets. They set up emergency medical tents in Central Park. Healthcare worker colleagues died. It is horrific that RFK Jr is on national TV lying that ICUs were empty.

Alrighty then. "...said in a lengthy post that “If there are any basic standards of character required to hold elected office, Max Miller fails them. He should not serve in the House of Representatives.”
Sen. Bernie Moreno says Rep. Max Miller should not serve in the House after abuse allegations from Miller's ex-wife, who is Moreno’s daughter.

A field trip is something so joyful and so ordinary. A child should be worrying about which classmate they'll sit next to on the school bus - not whether their classmate will be there at all.

🚨 WE HAVE A DEAL! After three years, in a major step forward for our members, we have ratified our first contract with @propublica.org’s management. We deeply appreciate everyone who supported us along the way. Here are some of our big wins👇
O’Neal helped purge me & all the other Black full-time staff columnists at the Post Opinion Section. I challenged his move to fire me in the aftermath of the Charlie Kirk killing. And he testified against me in June. We are expecting an arbitration ruling soon. Convenient time for him to quit.
New: Washington Post Opinion editor Adam O’Neal is leaving, he announced in an internal memo Friday
Children should never have to face a courtroom alone. The Trump administration must immediately restore the federal contract to provide representation for unaccompanied migrant children. Anything less is cruelty against vulnerable children in America.

France calls out the U.S. at a UN meeting: “The US used to be a beacon of human rights. Not anymore. Today, it stands alongside North Korea, Nicaragua, Mali and Russia. Isolated. And the world no longer listens to it.” U.S. representatives stormed out of the meeting. Well said France! 👏🏼🇫🇷👏🏼
Here on E Street, we are heartbroken over the death of Glen Hansard. We met in Ireland many years ago and he was always nothing but a great musician, a good friend and a generous and gracious man. Always positive, smiling and ready to sing. God bless him and his loved ones. Bruce
The cryptocurrency industry has already spent $200 million on primaries around the country. The question is: What do these crypto bros think they're buying?
Actually they're not quite, but it doesn't matter. I would be so ashamed if I had anything to do with something this stupid.
Our dogs are white too!
Not a single network aired this on their nightly news broadcasts yesterday. They described Trump overseeing a "somber ceremony" and called it a "moving moment." The only way to know what trump actually said about the soldiers he killed is to follow aaron rupar which no offense to aaron is insane
Trump on fallen US troops: "All of them said very strongly, 'We cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon.'"
Juan Ciscomani has taken over $900,000 from corporate PACs, half of which came from the real estate industry, and votes to remove guardrails for real estate development and offer tax incentives to private investors and home builders. He can't be trusted to represent #AZ06.
