Sometimes I think you need to screech loudly at the general British public to remind them not to do anything stupid like start a fire in a big dry, yellow field next to a load of houses.
I went to London for 22 hours during the peak of the heatwave. Saw a couple of friends, went to see Patti Harrison do stand up, and then the Wes Anderson exhibition at the Design Museum before it closed, and now I'm tired OK???
I made two eclipse traps. Now to set them around the garden and capture an eclipse for dinner.

I keep thinking about the strange caveat on the weird ai video screens at the Derwent Pencil Museum. It's so obviously not true, animation does exist, they had animation cells from The Snowman (1982) on display in the museum. Lads, you make and sell PENCILS.

The news on the radio’s been saying ‘Reform UK came second’ in the Manchester mayoral election, and not that they got trounced. They got less than half the votes of the Labour & Co-op candidate.
Britain as a whole has to get over the idea that mowed grass lawns everywhere is a good thing.
Orchids revived, the corpse ambulant and a poetic ruined abbey. These are the news stories I want to read.

Sainsbury’s substituted my usual blackcurrant cordial for a Mandalorian and Grogu branded special edition one, so now my morning drink looks like I’m about to chug the T-1000. Modern life is rubbish.
Every time I feel tired, I remind myself that Mel Brooks is 100 years old and is playing two characters in the upcoming Spaceballs sequel.
Oh cool, i’ll just change my evolutionary biology.
Nighty night.
