Every time I'm forced to learn about a popular streamer or youtuber it's the most insufferable, designed by committee -ass white man imaginable. Darksydephil looks like an assistant manager at Aldi. Mr Beast? Yeah my buddy used to sell him weed for $80 a gram in high school, we fucking hated him

There is no reason to ever say "I am not complicit." in any context but if there is, it'd better come with an explanation of why you're not complicit, which you'll notice the rest of the sentences are not. (Does Ed Sheeran think "complicit" means "apathetic"?)

Politics-watchers have long been exasperated by those with leverage to make things better but who refuse to use that leverage, but my read has been the general public hasn't picked up on this particular problem. Thank you, Ed Sheeran, for your service in educating the normies.

Take shamefully stolen from eugenics twink but it is funny how porn is often considered one of the major vices of the digital era but unlike infinite scrolling algorithmically curated content it has a very obvious end state where you get on with the rest of your life

It's kind of fucked up to think that I, a guy with 50k+ posts on a niche microblogging website, have a more healthy attitude toward my phone than the median American because I know how to put it away when other people are around or there's something else I'd rather be doing

wow i can't believe that a guy who makes music so boring that it sounds like something written to calm people down while they're being euthanized doesn't believe in taking sides

Whoever designed the user experience for Pacific Drive should get tenure at a video game college. Not only because it's the most polished, intuitive, QoL-1st UI/UX I've ever experienced, but it takes someone with a true mind for player psychology to pull off stinky little pranks like this:

This has been standard on Steam in the UK for a while now. I do not have a credit card. NOBODY in my family does. It's debit cards all round. Several major streamers I know also do not have credit cards. We are all apparently unable to prove that we are over 18. I am over goddamn forty.

Steam is asking Australians to verify they're adults by linking a credit card, something millions of Australians don't have: aftermath.site/steam-is-askin...

The 7th floor had a kennel for dogs and cats; the 8th floor had a pool for fishing lessons. Of course, there were also four floors dedicated to the sporting and adventurer clothing that they known for. The idea is that they'd teach you how to play sports and go camping, and then sell you the clothes

The cover of an old Abercrombie & Fitch catalog. It shows two people on a canoe. One person is shooting. An old Abercrombie & Fitch guide on how to camp and what to wear while camping. An old photo of what Abercrombie & Fitch used to be like. A man is being fitted in some leather shoes. An old photo of what Abercrombie & Fitch used to be like. There's a bunch of sporting equipment on the sales floor.

This type of retail wasn't just fantasy. Back when they were a more heritage-type clothier, Abercrombie & Fitch had a massive flagship on Madison Avenue. Each floor had a theme. The basement had a shooting range; the 6th floor had a school where people could learn how to play golf.
