We're proud to announce that the workers' first campaign, which started in a garage, just got added to the DCCC's Red to Blue program! It's official: our race is one of the best opportunities in the country to flip a House seat and put working people first in Washington! Let's finish the job!

Trump just dismantled this so his blatant corruption and his cronies overseas can operate without consequences or detection. Organized crime is now legal and the US is open for exploitation by foreign and domestic criminals. Don’t expect Rubio to say a word.

Without USAID funding to help buy food for refugees, the World Food Program rushed to prioritize families based on need, determining that only half the population would get food. Refugees learned which half they were in from a number stamped on the back of their ration card. (Published Dec. 2025)

After Trump Officials Cut Food Aid to Kenya, Children Starved to Death

“Brutal and traumatizing”: Interviews and a trove of internal documents show government officials and aid workers desperately tried to warn Trump advisers about impending disaster and death.

In which Third Way adopts the same definition of “anti-extremism” that ADL operates from: punching to its left, basically. Picking this fight, in this time, amounts to choosing a side — not the side of democracy, alas.

The "centrist" think tank Third Way is looking to pay someone between $140,000 and $150,000 to spend their days trying to dig up dirt on DSA members. They're trying to sell this gig as "anti-extremism" work, which I find completely disgusting.

from job listing:

As the Director of Anti-Extremism, a typical day might include…

Assembling and updating a database of the DSA’s most extreme ideas and statements and a repository of voting records, affiliations, and issue positions to make available to allies and partners;
Leading public opinion research to identify and test the contrasts that move base voters away from these extreme candidates;
Overseeing the development of memos, talking points, rapid response materials, and other products that make the case against these extreme forces in American politics;
Promoting and marketing our research and materials to ensure they reach decisionmakers quickly, repeatedly, and at scale through a coordinated distribution infrastructure;
Recruiting and arming a group of young, diverse spokespeople to fight the DSA from a center-left perspective and assembling a broad coalition of organizational partners to make the case against extremism;
Running an earned media program to create a drumbeat of our message in op-eds, television appearances, podcasts, and traditional and digital media engagement.

people who say, "well there are Arab parties in Israel so there's no oppression" are the same people who insist that Israel has a right as a Jewish state to prevent Palestinians from returning lest they vote in ways Zionists dislike.

I've been paying attention to politics a long time and I've never seen approval numbers like these. That independent split alone is a recipe for disaster. If it wasn't for GOP super-gerrymanders Democrats would be looking at post-Watergate numbers in the House.

people get really mad at me when i say i don't feel safe going to metal shows alone as a black person, but will also get red in the face enraged when they see bands highlighted for having black members. is it oochie wally or one mic?

Wrote about how music genres in the US are often based on race, and how rock in particular has long been defined by whiteness. and why that's bad. www.everythingishorrible.net/p/rock-music...
