Yes. I think the consensus among US elite pundits and senior politicians that the way to protect liberal democracy is *not* to punish elite figures who violate its rules is wrong. A norm starting at least with the Watergate pardon. The opposite is true. You need to enforce the law and Constitution.

Once again, one of the primary reasons we have arrived at this point (completely out-of-control & unconstitutional abuse of executive power to conduct wildly illegal foreign policy) is that no one, including the most senior people involved, went to jail for the rest of their lives for Iran-Contra.

I find it bizarre that despite being a major aluminum producer, it seems to be beyond Canada's capacity to be able to begin producing aluminum rolls and cans itself, and that our only option is to buy from the Chinese.

It really pisses me off how @cdnpress.bsky.social not only doesn't call bullshit on the invented grievances, but also uses opposition framing like calling the former Bill C-69 the "No New Pipelines" bill, which was Jason Kenney's name for it, and was 100% untrue. It's just stenography at this point.
