To me, AI is the ultimate litmus test. As in, it's a tech thing we didn't have a few years ago, came along, and immediately began showing signs of its brain-melting, fascism-funding, environment polluting, human rights issues, thievery. And not only did people start to use it. They claim they MUST.

It’s great that this is finally moving forward. There’s a case to be made for stripping all AI of its contents and forcing them starting over legally requiring each company to request use from every author whose book they want to use and negotiate accordingly. $3K is a pittance for eternal use.
